In recognition of the success of the LLM Concentration in International Commercial Arbitration, the Beijing Arbitration Commission has generously agreed to continue their sponsorship of a full-tuition scholarship for the 2014 - 2015 academic year.
Starting in 2013, BAC generously sponsored one full tuition scholarship for 2013 - 2014. This scholarship attracted applications from tops scholars across the globe, and the selection process was very competitive.
BAC is a not-for-profit permanent organization devoted to providing a forum for impartial and efficient alternative dispute resolution including arbitration and mediation. It was founded in 1995 following the passage of the Arbitration Law of the People's Republic of China. The BAC focuses on contractual and property-related disputes, both commercial and international, among citizens, legal persons and other organizations. Since its founding, the BAC has grown into the foremost arbitration commission in China providing its services to both domestic and foreign parties. From an initial annual load of only a handful of cases, today the BAC consistently ranks among the top in both in the number of cases accepted and the total disputed amount.
Applications are now being accepted for Fall 2014. Application for the BAC scholarship will be due April 4, 2014. Interested students should send a two-page letter explaining why they would like to be selected for the BAC Scholarship with their application to be considered.
